Founder — NP Holistic Performance

Nick Pluenneke is a strength trainer and holistic health advocate dedicated to helping beginners build sustainable fitness habits that improve both physical and mental well-being.

 

Originally from Newport Beach, California, Nick began his fitness journey as a 150-pound college student at Arizona State University who lacked confidence in his physique and had no formal guidance on how to train. 

 

Like many beginners, he faced an overwhelming amount of conflicting fitness information online and had to teach himself the fundamentals of strength training through research, experimentation, and consistency.

During the COVID pandemic in 2020, Nick experienced a difficult period of depression that ultimately became a turning point in his life. 

Rather than relying solely on medication, he began focusing on lifestyle changes — using strength training, structure, and daily discipline as tools to rebuild both his physical and mental health.

 

Over time, fitness evolved from a personal transformation into a deeper passion for helping others achieve similar results.

 

Today, Nick’s philosophy centers around holistic performance, combining:

• structured strength training

• simple, high-protein nutrition

• recovery and sleep optimization

• sustainable lifestyle habits

 

His goal is to help beginners and busy professionals build strength, confidence, and long-term health through simple and effective training systems.

Nick frequently travels throughout Latin America, where he combines his passion for fitness with experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and environments.

 

For Nick, training is something that can be maintained anywhere in the world, making fitness a lifestyle that supports freedom, exploration, and personal growth.

Nick’s approach to fitness focuses on long-term sustainability rather than quick fixes.
